The in Person meeting was called to order at: 6:56 PM by President, Mike McCullough. Mike introduced the club officers, Vice President, Mr. Dwayne Meanor, Treasurer, Mr. Gary Pennington and Mr. Tom Burleson, Secretary and Newsletter. Mike acknowledged all the volunteers and thanked them for their service.

Mini Hunt: We had our monthly Mini Hunt this month. They start at 6:30 PM prior to the 7:00 PM meeting. This month’s meeting was the last mini hunt for the rest of this year.

Refreshments: Pizza, Snacks and Drinks were provided by the club again this month.

Thank You: Ed Stratton and Tom Ferrell for helping with the raffles and Dave Franz for handing out the door prize tickets.

Buddy List: This is a list of people needing or giving assistance with their type of Metal Detector. Anyone is interested in joining the Buddy list see Andy Cooper.

Gold and Diamond Testing: See Nathan Pressler if you need something checked out. Testing will be done in March, June, September, and November.

October’s Club Outing: The outing was held on Saturday October 21st at Leakin Park.

  • Presentation: Mike McCullough gave a presentation entitled It started with a nickel! This was about a new site that Mike had found. It started with finding a nickel and ending with a lot more! The presentation was very informative and interesting. Thank you, Mike.

Outings: We had our annual Members Only Hunt on October 7th. There were 36 people in attendance.

Upcoming Outings : Digstock #8 2 day hunt December 9th And 10th Cost $175 and Digstock #9 February 23rd - 25th Cost $215. Both events will be in Eastern North Carolina. More details on the Digstock Website

New Business. With the upcoming Election for the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. An Election Committee was formed. The members are Chris Wisnom, Andy Cooper and Ed Stratton. The ballet meeting will be November and the voting will be in December.

M.F.S.T.C has a new Facebook group. An invitation has been sent out to all members.

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday Next Club Meeting November 16th. Starting at 7:00 PM There will not be any Mini Hunt the rest of the year.
