________________________________________________________________________________________ 11/13/13 - Ilario Pogliani - Found and Indian Head penny, musket ball and curious token at Druid Hill Park. Ilario did some research and found that "This one has been attributed to Chicago, IL, but that is where the company was located that made the slot machine that used this token. The machines themselves were scattered all around the country and were used to gather up as much small change as possible from patrons of bars, cigar stores, confectionery stores, pool halls, etc. The machines usually took nickels and the payoff was in these tokens which then could be spent at the candy or cigar counter of the business. The tokens are quite common and seldom sell for over $1."

Steve was using an E-Trac for the first time ever and didn't find much because he didn't know how to use it yet. Howard used his familiar CTX30-30 and found lots of clad and a silver dime. Neither wandered far from the parking place. There is much more treasure to be found in areas beyond.
