A Special Find!
Club member tries to find the owner of a Special Olympics Medal.
As a story, In an effort to return the Special Olympics metal to its rightful owner, I contacted Special Olympics Maryland and reported my find. They asked if it had any identification or date on it. Which it did not. I informed them that I found it about 10 inches deep in the ground, and it was an effort to clean it.
They stated it must have been an older metal and without any identifying information, it would be difficult to connect it with the owner. They said no one had reported a missing metal. They noted my name and information and said if anyone contacted them, they would notify me. Hopefully someday, someone will.
